Project objectives
Overall objective:
- To improve the competitiveness of regional businesses in the cross-border area;
Specific objectives:
- To improve capacities and competitiveness of SMEs staff for introduction of non-technological innovations;
- To facilitate access to new and innovative practices and processes for enhancing potential for business growth;
- To provide tools/products for promotion of innovations;
Project results and outcomes:
- Achieved a better understanding of the regional innovation environment and the specific needs of SMEs regarding developing and introducing innovations;
- Improved innovation potential and capacity of local businesses to address the challenges arising from the limited opportunities, financial, human and management resources, as well as the low innovation potential of existing enterprises for implementing new technologies;
- Improved awareness of SMEs on the true meaning of innovation, especially of non-technological innovation, as more accessible and understandable for business owners and management staff of enterprises;
- Established structures for providing modern services to support small and medium-sized enterprises and their associations and clusters (including management, marketing and other specialised non-technological innovation services);
- Fostered and implemented exchanges of experience, ideas and good practices for implementing and developing innovation between stakeholders (SMEs, business support organisations, research centres, universities, etc.);
